Here is an easy step by step guide on how to get a cute polka dot nail ready for Valentines Day or any other day really.
Its so versatile and easy even I can do it!!
| First File your nails. I always leave my old polish on to do this, its supposed to keep your nails from becoming too damaged. Also it is easier to see what shape you are creating |
| Next Remove all nail polish. |
| Next to push back the cuticles. I Use Sally Hanson Gel Cutical Remover |
| And then Push back with an orange stick. |
| Next Avon 24K gold strength Base coat |
| MUA Plum Noir |
Apply a thin coat to all nails except the ring finger and allow to dry.
| Then apply a 2nd coat and third if necessary. |
| Next select your accent colour. |
| Again, apply as many coats as required and allow to dry between. |
| This Pink polish is Sizzler By Barbara Daily for Tesco. |
| Next put a blob of Plum Noir on a piece of scrap paper. |
| Use the point of an orange stick or a dotting tool, |
| ...to apply polka dots, randomly, over the accent nail. |
| Repeat on the other hand. |
| Allow to dry. |
As you can tell I am not the neatest nail painter. A cotton bud dipped in nail polish remover, can clean up and messy smudges.
Next select a Top coat. Disco Tech by Miss Sporty is nice. It leaves a great shine and is a bargain.
n
| Paint the tips of your fingernail to avoid chipping. |
