Wardrobe Psychology: Green Goddess

Green is the colour of nature. The neutral colour is said to be calming and relaxing (hence celebrities relaxing in a 'green room'). It is the colour of fertility and wealth. Green will make you appear compassionate, conservative and to have a great energy. Emerald to Mint to Lime , green is a beautiful colour that stands out as it is not too common, compared to blacks and pinks.
Here are my favourite pieces around the web, to surround yourself  with to inspire your inner goddess,

1. Dress
2. Pug Cushion
3. Butter London Polish
4. Earrings
5. Converse
6. Lip Stick
7. Eye liner
8. Coat
9. Apple
10. Purse

Are you a lime or a mint kind of person?

WE ARE MOVING!!! unofficially

THIS is where I source this image x
So no contract has been signed yet and we had a bit of a hiccup which has now been resolved. So I can almost officially say Kirk and I are moving in together!

We will be renting a small 2 bedroomed house. All being well, we move in on the 1st of March!

I'm so excited and overwhelmed. It has all happened very quickly.

We are still close to our families and I'm loads closer to work, I can walk there and back now. We have worked out all of our bills ect and have been looking at paint and rugs and things.

We are both very excited but still are sad to be leaving our family homes. At times we may struggle and things may get to us but I know it will be worth it.

Its a scary thought, this marks a very new chapter in my life but it also marks a very fresh start for me. Im very scared to not have the security blanket there. the big wide world of bills, contracts and grown ups is very daunting. Especially when you are stood on the edge waiting to take your 1st step in.

But here goes. Nervous Nelly is putting on her big girl boots and going for it!

I'm hoping faffing with curtains and searching for paint (Tiffany Blue for the kitchen please) will distract me long enough for all the initial scary parts to die down.
As for blogs? There may be a mishmash through out the next few months. But hopefully there will also be plenty of opportunity for me to see new things and lots for me to show you all?

So for now back to normal, but wish me luck and cross your fingers

Wardrobe Psychology : Blue

Colour Psychology is the idea that wearing, or surrounding yourself with a particular colour can affect your mood. Remember reading magazine articles and finding out what your favourite colour said about
you? Well its the same idea here. So whether you need to relax or need a confidence boost. Try switching up your wardrobe or buying a bright bunch of flowers and see if it works for you?

First Blue. Wearing blue is said to make you appear trustworthy and loyal. It can promote tranquillity and calm and increase productivity. Navy is a serious colour that implies power and vigilance. Powder blues are very  clean and cool. Blue is the colour of Peace, Truth and Intelligence.

Try Surrounding yourself with these blue hues, to be calm and confident.

Quick Beauty Tip!

Cotton wool! I get through tonnes of the stuff!

It wasn't until last week I realised I could have saved myself a little on it. On the beauty section in my favourite shop, Superdrug, cotton wool was £1.09. On the baby section 2 aisles away it was 99p. In the pack for £1.09 you get 125g and in the 99pence pack you get 200g. I know it's only a little but just think you could an extra pack of cotton wool at the end of the year!

Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves right? Just goes to show that shops know how to make money? Try the baby section for your cotton wool you may get more for your money!!

What are your best money saving tips, when it comes to beauty??

Our Bottom Drawer

Bottom Drawers are an old fashioned notion. But in this day and age we all are saving and scrimping.Cutting back as much as possible. Its harder and harder for young people to move out of there family home and fly the nest.

There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to get your first home because of money troubles!

That's where bottom drawers come in, the idea has been around for years! Girls of a certain age, use to save bits and pieces ready for when they married and moved in with their new husbands. Although most of us don't wait to be married now, the concept is still a brilliant idea.
I've been bottom drawing for about a year now. I started small, Tea towels were the first thing i bought. Gradually Kirk got involved. With different family members moving and clearing out and us picking up things in end of season sales we accumulated a fair amount of stuff.

We haven't paid much for anything. We also have a very strange and mixed array of furniture waiting for a home.

So if you are planning on moving with you other half in the near future, or even alone, consider saving a few bargains you find. You will be glad of it when the time comes!
We also have been saving money which is easier said than done!

Find yourself a place too keep all of your things. as lovely as your finds may be you dont want them cluttering up your room if you arent using them! And try not to use them. It will be nice and new in your new home.

Here are a few of the bits and bobs we have saved.

What Tips do you have for newbies to new homes?

My aunty Kerry came for a walk around Shipley Country Park with Willow.

She was very pleased with herself all muddied up in the back of the car!

Willow and I waited outside while Aunty Kerry fetched us a Subway!
We then went into Pets at Home so willow could fetch her lunch.

This is what Willow bought from Pets at Home. She also joined the VIP club!
Notice the muddy paw prints in the corner?!
 scary eyes!

Willow and I, then, spent some time at my aunts house. had dinner and willow ate one of her new treats.

 One more, shorter, walk.

Then I went home.
A prayer card my mother in law gave me. Im not sure what I believe when it come to religion. I do really Like the Foot Prints Prayer.

Time for bed!
Take of my Makeup, unpin my bun and don the Tinkerbell Pjs!

And finally I snuggle down with one of my selection of hot chocolates
