Drawer Space.

Drawer Space.

At my boyfriends house, I have claimed a drawer ( I actually now have two but we are very close to getting our own place so he is not bothered). A place to keep all of the girly essentials when i stay over. To start with id take a weekend bag with me everytime I spent the night. Gradually I left my toothbrush and a hair brush and a few other bits. Things progressed and once it was established i was staying around, i was granted drawer space!

So out i went with my Aunt to buy toiletries to keep there. I soon learned that minatures and travel size products were of little use as they would be emptied out with in a couple of weekends. Also some of the things i thought i needed i still have sat in the drawer almost 2 years later.

In my opinion this is what you need. It all depends on you and what you use and what your boyfriend/girlfriend already has (Kirk has at least 3 packet of facewipes at any given time so i never bother to take my own).

First the Basics
Toothbrush,
Deodorant
Hair brush
Fresh undies
Everything else you probably can borrow. However with your shiny new empty drawer you might as well have a few home comforts to keep you feeling fresh and not making you smell of Lynx shower gel.
Shower gel
Shampoo
Conditioner
Face wash .........all the usual essentials.

A Make up Kit.  It can be as big or as small as, you think you will need but i keep it well stocked, so that I never need to bring anything from home.I always have
 Foundation
Powder
Concealer
 A neutral eye shadow
 A lip balm/lip gloss/ lipstick
 Blusher
Brow Pencil
and of course the corresponding brushes.

You may also like to think about...
A Travel Hair dryer
Tweezers
A razor
Nail files
Perfume.

Things a man is not likely to have in. Even if he does it may be embarrassing to ask for tweezers for a rogue hair or to find you have only shaved one armpit (yes i have done this). I've found it useful to have a small pack of nail polish remover pads and a nail polish in my drawer. Vaseline for its 1000 uses. Body butter also has been useful for foot rubs! and also consider things like cotton wool if you plan on taking a toner.

Here comes the TMI part
Ladies week.... Sanitary disposal bags. He WILL NOT even know what they are let alone have any in. Again be prepared, so that you are not ever uncomfortable or at a loss.

Happy organising your new 'Drawer Space'

Lots of Love xxx
