My No Frills, Beauty Favourites: Vaseline

Vaseline, the little tin with a million and one uses! here's just a few I've tried....

  • Firstly is the obvious, lip balm!
  • Comb it through your brows to keep them tame and to set in your brow pencil.
  • Brush through your eyelashes for 'no make up' mascara effect. allegedly thickens your lashes and can encourage growth too.
  • Rub on sore or dry cuticles, as a quick fix.
  • Use a layer of Vaseline to create a barrier if your shoes are rubbing slightly
  • Mix with Lipsticks to create a lip tint..
  • Mix with lipstick and use as a cream blush.
  • Use on cheekbone and brow bone, sparingly, for a dewy glow.
  • Rub on Dry elbows or knees when you are in a pinch.
  • Mix with eye shadow to create a cream eye shadow with a good pigment,
  • Smooth through the very ends of your hair to hide any split ends*
  • Use to 'wash away' any stubborn or long stay lip colour.
  • Before dyeing your hair, use Vaseline as a barrier on the hairline to avoid the colour staining your skin.
  • Rub a tiny amount between your hands and use to slick back any flyaway from your up do.*
  • Vaseline can be used to remove your make up or clean your skin**
  • Mix with cinnamon. Apply to Lips. Remove after a few mins. Apply your Lip gloss. The cinnamon will work as a lip plumper and give you a tingly pout.

Another cheap, cheerful and versatile product, that might not always be much fun but has so many uses. For as cheap as a £1.99 should be in every make up bag!

*Vaseline WILL make your hair greasy if u get it on the roots or use too much! Use a small amount and don't use if you don't want to wash your hair the next day.

** I've never used Vaseline as a make up remover or a cleanser. I've heard mixed  know reviews. It could prove useful, however, for stubborn eye make up or if you are travelling.

Lots of Love xxx
